| We are only interested in 3 main engines. |

Of these Google is the largest with well over 50% of the total search market. Thus we don’t really care how many other engines have indexed our site.
Notes: |
- Marketing deals that offer to submit your site to thousands of search engines are rubbish – there is only 1 Google!
- Your site needs to be submitted to Google only once. There is NO POINT in submitting it to google.co.za and google.co.uk etc.

| NEW SITES |
Most new sites take 1 to 2 months to get indexed by Google etc. In fact, the longer a site has been live is an important factor in its Google rating -older sites have a ranking advantage.
We have various strategies to reduce this wait time, we will submit the site’s links to: |
- Directory Listing site(s)
- Social bookmarking sites – delicious.com and stumbleupon.com
- Various parts of Google manually

This is a strict human edited, open source directory that does not allow spam submissions and will manually vet each entry submitted.
To submit to this: |
- Browse to http://www.dmoz.org/
- Choose a main category
- Work your way down the categories until you get to the right level
- Then click SUGGEST URL from the main menu above
- Now complete the form

- Add the site title and the Site Descriptor details
- Use your email address.

If you do not have the plugin installed in your browser, install it via this link - http://del.icio.us/ and follow the instructions to download the plugin.
To Bookmark your site. |
- Browse to your site
- Click the TAG icon in your browser top bar (or select Bookmark this delicious) from the Delicious menu icon.
- Add basic details about the site – LIKE A MINI ABOUT US – to the notes block
- Add tags which will be the sites meta tags or Search Tags

| Load the stumble upon plugin into your browser. |
| To add your site: |
- Browse to your site
- Click the I LIKE IT icon in the stumble upon menu
- Add the Tags for the site into the review block
- Find the most appropriate topic
- Set Adult to NO!
- Submit the Rating

We use the Google Dashboard from Google Webmaster Tools as a starting point for a site’s management on Google. |

Google Maps
A listing in Google Maps is free and provides good extra exposure for your website.
To add your site to Google Maps: |
- Go to maps.google.com
- Click on Add or Edit your business
- Locations Tab:
- Click Add New Listing
- Enter Country and Company Name
- Enter Street Address details
- Find the location on the Map
- Enter the phone no
- Add email address
- Please expect the verification phone call from Google
